Writing to the House

Please write. We answer our own telephones.

A house this small does not have a contact form for everything. The best way to start a conversation is to send us a letter — by which we mean an email of more than two sentences — telling us who you are, what you are looking for, and what timing you have in mind. We read every one of them, usually the same day.

We are three people in Haarlem and four in Cairo. The desk in Haarlem looks after the European-side relationships — the buyer accounts, the freight contracts, the certifier paperwork on the import side. The desk in Cairo looks after the growers, the harvest planning, the consolidation yards at Damietta and Alexandria, and the export documentation. If you are not sure where to start, write to the main address and we will get the message to the right desk by the end of the morning.

If you have a specific question — an RFQ, a sample request, a question about a certificate, a press enquiry — the right inbox is below. We try to answer every email within one working day, two days in the high season when the strawberry programme is moving and one of us is always at the consolidation yard.

— if a letter is too much trouble, a few lines here will reach the same inbox.

We do not keep a mailing list. Writing to us does not subscribe you to anything. If you would like to be on the next-season allocation list, please say so in the message and we will add you by hand.
